Psalm 1

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Welcome!

I'm glad you came.  My invitation to you is "Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good."  Come read with me and delight in our Lord.  The invitation is "no strings attached."  If it is not helpful to you, worry not.  I will not check up on you.  It is a free offer.
If you do decide to read with me, feel free to comment on what God says in His Word.  Or feel free to just stop by to read.  The first book that we will read together is Proverbs.  Every three days, a new chapter will appear.  If you have just a few minutes, read a few verses and comment or not.  If you want more, read the whole chapter each day and comment or not.  This will give each of us a chance to catch up if there's a day we don't make it.
While you are waiting for Reformation Day to arrive, read Psalm 1 and think about how God's Word is like the living water that strengthens you as His tree.  Drink deeply.

  1. The picture of being a tree reminds us that we are firmly rooted in Christ. We must drink in His Word to refresh our souls.
